Da dum da dum da dum Shark Bite Party

This party was actually an under the sea party, but because the birthday boy was a little older we decided to focus on the top predator of the sea and make it a shark party with a touch of his aquatic friends or food.

Although I didn't make a cake for this event I've made quite a few sea related ones in the past so I thought this blog would be the perfect opportunity to share them with you.

Some of these cakes include an under the sea cake with a whole bunch of critters, A Finding Nemo cake (always a popular one), a rocky seashores cake for South Africa's Marine and Coastal Conference and a cute mini fishy cake for a little boy's 1st birthday.

For this particular party however I just supplied the cupcakes which I made a combination of sea animals including of course a good couple of shark fins.

Other shark bites for this party included macaroons, chocolate brownies, shark and fish cookies, fish shaped chocolates and themed lollipops.

The party packs were simple with a picture of Bruce from Finding Nemo.

And this is not the only appearance Bruce made at the party. The guests were greeted by a big smiling Bruce as they entered the venue.

Other decor included some fishy friends adorning the walls

The centre piece was the birthday boy's name, but I added a few shark additions and some bubbles to make it more theme related.

It certainly turned out to be a fun filled day under the sea with a bite of shark to keep things interesting.
